Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as employees’ main contact regarding day-to-day benefit program administration and issues, including but not limited to:

- Completes monthly and annual reports for various Bank benefit programs including but not limited to medical, dental, life, long-term disability, defined contribution, defined benefit, transportation subsidies, fitness subsidies, such as:
- Reconciles benefit deductions to vendor, HRIS, payroll and general ledger records, researches discrepancies and takes appropriate, timely action to adjust discrepancies on payroll, the general ledger and vendor records as necessary. Works with Accounting Control, internal HR staff, vendors and employees to identify and reconcile discrepancies. Follows-up to ensure adjustments are completed and outstanding items cleared and maintains appropriate records and documentation.
- Processes timely payment of associated premiums.
- Compiles data and completes annual and periodic reports for plan vendors to update plan participant information.
- Inputs employee benefits data and actions accurately and timely into HRIS system and generates regularly scheduled reports. May develop or modify reports on an as-needed basis.
- Coordinates and verifies changes with Payroll Department bi-monthly.
- Work with Administrative Services Assistant to ensure that employee records are scanned and placed in employee folders in an orderly fashion and on a timely basis.
- Assists the Compensation, Benefits and HRIS Manager in the continuous review and monitoring of benefit plans to ensure legal compliance, accuracy, cost-effectiveness and competitiveness including:
- Completes various benefit and/or compensation surveys as needed.
- Analyzes benefit trends, surveys and costs.
- Completes various reports on benefit plans and may analyze data.
- Responds to requests from auditors and examiners for detailed information as required.
- Assists in annual and on-going employee communications to ensure employees understand and value total compensation and benefits.
- Maintains courteous and confidential relationship with employees, consultants, vendors, other entities and agencies, within and outside the FHLB System, and with other members of the HR staff with an emphasis on collaboration.
- Stays abreast of emerging trends and legislative initiatives that may impact the Bank’s benefit programs.
- Provides back-up for other departmental personnel and Compensation/HRIS Specialist.
- Performs other duties and may serve as team member as assigned.
