Description:

As more states begin to pass regulation surrounding paid family and medical leave, the variability is making it harder for employers to develop a leave policy that suits every state.  Additionally, employers are faced with a challenging patchwork approach to compliance which makes managing it in-house virtually impossible.

This session is designed to provide tactical and strategic support.

Attend this program to:

  • Get a broad overview of evolving leave laws/benefits, including MA Paid Family and Medical Leave

  • Learn about new vendor offerings for Massachusetts

  • Gain insight on how to get ahead of the challenges

  • Hear concerns for 2021

Speakers:

Michael Bailey, from Mercer, will kick off the program with a strategic and broad discussion about absence, and educate us on how the market and solutions continue to evolve and what employers are doing to combat the complexities.  He will share insights from employers of all size and help attendees map out a roadmap towards compliance and coordination among various partners.

Teri Weber, from Spring Consulting Group, will talk specifically about MA PFML and lead a vendor panel discussion.  She will be joined by carrier partners that will have offerings in the Commonwealth.  They will discuss their positioning in the market, concerns for 2021 and how they are working with clients to get ahead of any challenges.
